Paula Dean's Gravey for Biscuits

1 pound ground sausage
4 slices thick-cut bacon
1/2 med. onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbs. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. black pepper
2 cups half & half
2 Tbs. butter

In large skillet, combine the sausage, bacon, onion, and garlic.  Cook over med. heat until sausage in brown and crumbly.  Stir in flour, salt & pepper; cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.  Gradually stir in half & half, stirring constantly over medium heat.When mixture thickens, stir in butter.  Pour over biscuits and chow down.
