Easy Apple Cobbler

8 cups peeled, sliced fresh apples
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 T cornstarch
1 tsp cinnamon
One (18.5 oz) box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup softened butter
1 egg yolk
Whipped cream or ice cream to top cobbler

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray 9x13 baking dish with pam. Place apples, sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in baking dish and toss well to coat apples with mixture.
Stir together cake mix, butter and egg yolk with fork and sprinkle over the top of the apple mixture. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown on top. Let cool slightly before serving with whipping cream or ice cream.
